Wrekin Wellness Summit
Last week, the picturesque Wrekin hillside came alive with the inaugural Wrekin Wellness Summit, a four-day celebration of health and active living that transformed the Community Pavilion Hub into a vibrant wellbeing destination.
From 15th to 18th January, visitors braved the winter weather to explore a diverse range of health and fitness initiatives, both indoors and in the stunning natural surroundings. Local organisations and wellbeing experts shared valuable resources and connected with community members, creating a welcoming atmosphere of learning and inspiration.
The summit culminated in a memorable Saturday finale featuring the unveiling of “The Wrekin Community Voices & Art Showpiece” by Caris Jackson, followed by an energetic Leo Loco Circus Skills workshop that delighted visitors of all ages. Throughout the event, the Café Kiosk provided refreshments to keep visitors energised and warm.
Despite challenging January conditions, the summit successfully brought together fitness enthusiasts, wellbeing professionals, and curious locals, establishing what may become an annual tradition for the Wrekin community. The free-to-attend event demonstrated our commitment to promoting accessible health and wellbeing opportunities for all residents.
