‘The Hill’ Ultra Marathon
4th-6th December 2026

This challenge returns in 2026. 55 laps up and down The Wrekin. 160 miles within 48 hours.

West Mid Ambulance/Telford First Responders 21st June 2026

Telford First responders will be hosting a ‘CPR-athon’ – continuous CPR for a 24 hour period. The event runs from midnight to midnight. 

The Pollinator Garden

Thursday 12th March 2026 – The pollinator garden at the Pavillion Cafe was first planted thanks to a grant from the Shropshire Hills AONB and supported by Butterfly Conservation West Midlands. It was initially created by a lot of hard work in a very rocky area but was immediately successful in terms of attracting many insects. 
There will be a session to tidy and cut back the garden on Thurs 12th March. We are meeting at the start of the path leading up to the Halfway House at 10am.Tuesday 28th July 2026– Moth breakfast and butterfly hunt.

Raised Beds

During March the chaps from Yellow Ribbon built raised beds for the Pavillion cafe garden. They will be planting these up to supply food for the cafe.



Up and down the Wrekin 56 times in 48 hours!

Sarah Parry, a world record-holding ultra-runner won an incredible 160-mile challenge on the  Wrekin. Sarah was the only competitor to complete the gruelling ‘The Hill’ challenge organised by Cockbain Events and held on Friday 4th December 2025.
